I like the old Roy Rogers burgers…plus they had the fixin’s bar, where you could put anything you wanted on it…

The Latona Pub in Seattle. Damn that was a good burger. Grilled with a lot of steam on a griddle that featured an amazing variety of spices and vegetables. Served on a toasted bun with locally-grown salad and a rich amber ale to chase. Best burger I’ve ever had.

Definitely Burger King. I enjoy McDonalds, but Burger King just seems to have a meatier, stronger taste to it. Wish I lived closer to one!

@Eggie Oh it’s just your regular beef burger purchased from our local butcher. Very tasty when I play chef, not so much when the wife does…...she burns food, a lot!

The burgers in the cafeteria at my most recent job were so thick, juicy, and delicious that I had to leave my money at home when I went to work so I’d stop eating them. Ridiculous.

Five Guys

I just took my kids to this place called Garfield’s, in Maryland, the other day. We all ordered different types of burgers and they were so good. I had a bacon cheeseburger, with cheddar cheese and an onion ring on top. The bacon was smoky and crispy… delicious! One of my girls had a blue cheese burger, another had a mushroom and cheddar one, and the third had a regular bacon cheeseburger. We all agreed they were the best we’ve ever eaten. Got to go back soon!

There is a place here in my town call R and B Drive-In. It’s a run down looking dive. My grandma who is in her 70s used to eat there when she was in junior high in the 40s. They have the best cheeseburgers ever. We call them Greasy Cheezy’s. They are just standard cheeseburgers, mustard, ketchup, pickles, onion, toasted bun, Velveeta cheese. I don’t know what makes them so fantastic, but hands down, the best burger I’ve ever eaten. Now I want one! And an order of fried pickle slices and a Green River!

Ed’s Easy Diner (Compton St, Soho – there may be others) makes a good burger and nice shakes. Also it’s kitted out like a 50’s American diner which is nice.

Dallas’ Prince’s Burgers. They just closed down after decades of success. Just a little dump where you could go inside or eat in your car.

The vegetarian burger at Covina Tasty. The place used to be a Tastee Freeze back in the 60’s, in a little suburb in Los Angeles County. But the current owners took it over and turned it into a completely vegetarian fast food joint, with fake burgers and dogs and some of the best fries and onion rings I’ve ever tasted!

Checker Burger – Downtown Detroit Michigan

A burger at bgr: the burger joint in Arlington, VA. Fffffffuuuuuuuuuu… oh my god. It’s half a pound of greasy goodness made from tender, juicy cuts of meat. The brioche bun can’t support the weight of the burger so it falls apart and squishes into the meat as the meat juices turn it to play-doh. Then you feel vaguely queasy for the rest of the day. Hot damn, I want one right now.

The best was the teriyaki burger on an onion bun at Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlor in Hawaii, when I was a kid. More recently, Ray’s Hell Burger in Arlington, VA.

The Dew Drop Inn in Mobile Alabama do a pretty good burger which inspired the Jimmy Buffett song Cheeseburger in Paradise
