@DarlingRhadamanthus Not sure G+ is any worse than Facebook. At least the Google guys don’t have a reputation for gathering info to use against their petty enemies. And if you already have a Gmail account, you’ve already handed them everything they need.
It is like Facebook, but with more features and more customization (usually more control over privacy). They have “huddles”, which is for when you’re trying to get together with a bunch of people, but you have to organize where everyone’s going, who needs a ride, are you getting Greek food from that one place or going to the movie… So then it creates one streamlined chat instead of having it all be separate conversations.
I do like the circles aspect much better than lists. Lists are useless for status updates, but you can use circles for G+ status updates. So I can do a status update about how much I love tequila, but only to the people whom I drink with, or post a political article, but only to people who would appriciate it…
I like it better. And it’s pretty easy to create a profile, put in some tester info and updates to try it, and then if you don’t like it, you can delete it. The only way to know if you’ll like it or not is to try it.
And you should really let people know that you already have an invite so they don’t keep wasting theirs.
