Go savory, not dessert.
Hummus and pita chips.
Fresh tortilla chips and gaucamole (most Mexican restaurants have this to go) and/or one or 2 different salsas, one red and one green. If you want to make the guacamole here’s an easy delicious Recipe and here is a Pico de Gallo Salsa and one for Fresh Green Tomatillo Salsa and one for Red Guajillo Chile Salsa
A cheese tasting platter, with at least 3 different kinds of cheese served with either crackers like Triscuits or sliced baguettes. What I usually do is get the hunks of cheeses and cut half of the cheese into cubes or slices and leave the other half intact so everybody can see what it looks like (then you have a few cheese knives for the rest, once they eat the pre-cut pieces). I would suggest something like a sharp cheddar, a gruyere Swiss, maybe a soft goat cheese, a blue cheese like Point Reyes Blue Stilton or Humbolt Fog Stilton or my personal favorite Trader Joes White Stilton with Cranberries. You want each of the cheeses to have a different color and texture. I got a really cute inexpensive plastic platter with sections at Big Lots and it has a lid that covers the whole platter.
