There was a radio contest in my city. The prize was $10,000 dollars to the first person that discovered the hiding place of an old Civil War trumphet. A new clue was given each week and the contest lasted a year. Some of the clues were way off the beaten path to locate the trumphet. This was done for a reason to extend the contest.
Finally, around the first of December, the clues were given out twice a week and the trumphet was found just before Christmas.
The clues took us to the airport, to a gun range, to several pizza parlors and a nearby Civil War battleground, with no luck.
The final clue had the initials A. R. on the hiding place.
Who would ever have guessed the trumphet was buried next to a Civil War burial site with the fallen soldiers name of Andrew Reynolds on it?????????\
Not me.
Was that a great hiding spot or what?
Several years ago, I hid $40 dollars in cash somewhere in my house. It’s still missing.
