Our lives would actually seem slower since we’d be moving so fast, and although our lifespans wouldn’t really change, they would seem longer and might spur some kind of re-tooling of the measurement systems for our lives (i.e.- Time).
If you think about a fly, they ‘see’ much faster than humans. (one of the reasons their so wily when you try to smack ‘em). Does this mean that they perceive life at a slower pace proportionally? Consciously speaking, sure why not – even though they live for a few weeks, it seems like much longer because the perception of time passing is drawn out.
But, alas, I think perception (or the speed at which we perceive) doesn’t necessarily improve just because we’ve all become Sonic the Hedgehog. Sooooo many new emergency rooms and graveyards will need to be built.
