Do you want a degree just to get a job, or do you want it to improve yourself, generally? Do you have any academic disciplines that really interest you, or do you just want to explore for now to find out what you are interested in?
I don’t know how community colleges work. I know that the first two years of a regular college are designed to give you exposure to a lot of subjects. Perhaps community college does the same thing. If that’s the case, then maybe you don’t need to major. You just need to take courses that interest you.
But they may have distribution requirements, and if that’s the case, then you really won’t get much choice. You’ll have to take something within a number of different areas, just to fulfill your requirements. Honestly, I wouldn’t worry about it too much. I’d register, look at the requirements, and take the courses you have to take that fulfill the requirements. Then, if you have any additional time available, I’d take whatever appeals to you most.
