If you can find the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy trilogy (actually there’s more than three, but the additional books are called “Installments in the Increasingly Inaccurately Named Trilogy”), then you’ll have plenty of ‘reading’ for that 15 hours and it’s just a great entertaining series, and a can’t miss classic.

I remember liking “Airborne!” quite a bit.

If your attention span is short maybe go for some comedy tapes, short little routines that you can take a break from if your mind wanders.

If you’ve got ADD try listening to a David Barry book. Get a couple from the library so you’re covered in case you don’t like his humor.

Tina Fey’s Bossypants kept me occupied for a long road trip.

My road trips are typically accompanied by the Harry Potter series, which I find to have just the right mix of “interesting enough to prevent the tedium of a long drive” and “not distracting enough to cause traffic accidents.” The first book isn’t long enough on its own, but the first two combined would be. Or you could just use one of the later books.

One of the first books that I ever heard narrated (as an adult, anyway) was Tom Wolfe’s excellent Bonfire of the Vanities. I later read it myself, too. But the narration (more than narration, actually, because I think the different characters all had different readers for their dialog, if I recall correctly – but it was twenty years ago!) was superb. The narration of the book was far better than the “adequate” movie.

Incidentally, I have just this week learned what a “bonfire of the vanities” really is, too.

@gambitking ya stole my answer, Douglas Adams does a fantastic job narroting his books doing voices and all. I would also suggest checking out the radio series. I also really enjoyed the Harry Potter novels narroted by Stephen Fry.

Under the Dome by Stephen King, it will hold you for at least 15 hours.

What books would hold your attention depends on what you’re interested in.

I would suggest Cryptonomicon by Neal Stephenson… but that has a run time of 42h53m. Snow Crash is a mere 17h8m. making is one of the shortest books he’s written while Diamond Age clocks in at 18 hours even.

Neal Stepehenson is good at having many different storylines going; better at it than most authors. That means that the ADD in you will be happy as you will basically be listening to at least three books at once!
