I haven’t ridden on one in quite a while, so I can’t say for sure. But Business Week (I think) did an article about them not too long ago – maybe 4–5 months – and said that they had really cleaned up their act.
The problem 5–10 years ago was that they were bought and sold and bought and sold and none of the owners put any investment in new buses, maintenance, training, etc. (for a while they were owned by the same people who own Dial Soap!!)
Whoever owns them now has stabilized things and the company appears to doing well. The company is a British company that runs lots of buses in the UK and appears to know what it is doing.
