Do you believe that reading Reader's Digest Condensed stories is just as good as the original?

They’re not as good. My dad had a collection of these stories when I was a kid, and reading them is like watching the movie version, with all the interesting details edited out.

No. It is like reading the summary or abstract of a speech or paper.
