I think I have plenty of storage. My problem is that the information retrieval system is messing up. Not sure if it’s because there are a lot of bad sectors that have not been walled off, or if memory addresses have been shifted without being recorded in the fat or what. Whatever—the memory is there, but it seems that I can’t get at it directly so much any more. More and more, I have to get at it indirectly. So my retrieval function is growing more inefficient and that is quite frustrating.
But I gather this is normal for a people my age, and only gets worse. I wonder if anything could be done about it. I think it has to do with changes in brain chemistry, and the decreasing availability of certain hormones.
On the other hand, I am wiser, and the wisdom usually more than makes up for the lack of ability to retrieve specific memories. This, too, is typical for people my age.
