If your life story was being turned into a movie who would play you?

“Great Question” (0points)

Early this morning there was an author appearing on breakfast TV and they were chatting about who she thought should be given the role of the lead character in a movie. She thought about how she portrayed the character in her mind, how she looked, how she was built, her mannerism until she came up with an answer, but it got me thinking.

If your life story was being made into a movie who would you like to play you? I do anticipate various people picking stars that they think are beautiful or handsome so try and look beyond that.

I’d like it to be Helen Mirren.

The fence post would do a marvelous job, I think.

One of three potential candidates, Jim Carrey – Ricky Gervais – or Jason Statham.

“It wouldn’t be ‘play’,” he said in a low voice.

Edward Norton.

@ucme Oh, it has to be Ricky Gervais!

@marinelife I’m a much better looking fella though it has to be said.

Think Sissy Spacek but 35 lbs. heavier (young Sissy in Carrie) and 22 years younger than she is now. She’d be perfect for the job.

I believe this fella is a lock.

you know, provided we find somebody that can throw a lazarus on his ass

When I was younger it would be a young Jodie Foster, Now, Goldie Hawn.

@Judi I was waiting for you to answer. I also had Goldie in mind for you. Maybe you’ve said it before, but she’s the first actress that comes to my mind as an actress who would play you. :)

I’d want to play myself. Lacking that, I’d want my kids to choose who should be me. It would be a better movie without me.

I’m at a loss. Is there a young 30’s Betty White?

SuperMouse's avatar

Connie Britton (it’s my movie, I can dream).

@jonsblond, I think Blake Lively would be perfect to play you and @Blondesjon Paul Giamatti or Michael Chiklis.

Ellen Paige or Emma Stone

Dustin Hoffman. We look a little alike, and I identified with his character in The Graduate.

It would pretty much have to be Molly Ringwald. We’ve looked alike since we were both teenagers.

@WillWorkForChocolate I think Gilda Radner would make a great you. I do like your answer though. :)

@SuperMouse You are too kind. Good call with Jon. lol

Daniel Craig, Clint Eastwood or Tommy Lee Jones. Yes I’m that ugly. HA!

Selma Hayek ( Short, spanish, scrappy fighter with a weird sense of humor)

Zooey Deschanel, she is weird and funny and we look a like.

French actress BĂ©atrice Dalle, because all her roles are always super crazy, plus she seems pretty nuts in real life, anyways. She’s the only I’d trust to not fuck me up too much, haha. Plus I’m a huge fan lol

@jonsblond Gilda Radner, eh? I like it.
