Is there any modeling software to model generic real-world devices?

“Great Question” (0points)

An accurate generic real-world modeler would be able to model a circuit or a supernova or a piston or a microwave or a grandfather clock. There are special models for everything but is there an attempt out there for a generic model (if only through combination of specific modelers)? The best I can come up with is Mathematica with custom written interfaces to other packages.
