What US fire stations still have actual dalmatian dogs alive and inside the bldg?

@marinelife What a great story! Although, it looks like they are really overfeeding her.

@silky1 I think it’s unlikely that you’ll find this documented anywhere… maybe you could do it for your area? Make a list of the fire stations, then contact them about their mascots.

@glacial That is what I thought about doing here so I could answer this question. However, I like your idea better.

Many fire stations have them as mascots. They ride on the engine in parades and laze about the fire station. Within the AKD they belong to the non-sporting group which is comprised of dogs who used to have a job but were made redundant! I know I will hear flack but in general they really are not the smartest or nicest of the canines.

Los Angeles has Wilshire the Fire Dog! :) and the firemen (not wilshire) were trained by Cesar Millan! LoL
