Where can I read solid theories that claim life came from a meteorite combining with the elements on Earth?

Panspermia describes such theories. A related term is exogenesis.

Well, “solid theory” implies that there is good scientific evidence that has been peer reviewed and accepted generally by the scientific community. Since exogenesis is not so accepted, then it is not a “solid theory” but a hypothesis.

Here’s a decent site about exogenesis and other topics. I can only give you info about what each hypotheisis stands for and certain evidence which may point in a certain direction. Exogenesis has not been accepted as a solid theory, but only a hypothesis at this point in time.

The problem I have with using exogenesis to explain unknowns pertaining to earth-based abiogenesis is that the same prerequisites to create life had to exist elsewhere. What process created extraterrestial life then wherever that life came from?
