I’m impressed that you’d write Batman. It’s correct, of course, but most people think Batman is just a really strong guy with a lot of cool gadgets. They don’t realize that he’s actually the “World’s Greatest Detective”

I’ll just add that DC comics third major comic was “Detective Comics” which introduced Batman in issue #37. Detective Comics was eventually shortened to DC Comics.

^^ Alfred’s the real hero in that outfit, if you ask me. ^_^

@Seek_Kolinahr Then I will add Cadbury from richy rich.

That’s… not a superhero comic.

I’m also a bit surprised Lex took so long to be mentioned. But I thought Tony Stark’s major attribute was alcohol tolerance; his liver is tougher than the Hulk.

Captain America, believe it or not. It’s not the sort of intelligence that leads to designing N-dimensional teleporters, but there is a reason that he leads the Avengers.

@jerv: True, he is a master tactician.

Also, Hank Pym (aka Giant Man, Ant Man, and Yellow Jacket) is a scientist and founding Avenger. ‘course, he’s also a wife beater, but that’s another story

@cookieman Cyclops is/was in the same vein, but that was played down due to his optic blast. For every time where his leadership/tactical skills came to the fore, there were at least 50 instances of his visor being removed/stolen, and at least another 100 where he blasted something with his eyes.

@jerv: So true — or he was so filled with angst over Jean/Madilyn/Nathan/Alex, that he would just mope and moan.

jerv's avatar

@cookieman If I wanted angst, I’d go for Spider-man.

cookieman's avatar

@jerv: Yeah, that’s why they made his marriage to Mary Jane magically go away.
