I’m sorry I can’t answer this question correctly, because I’ve just thought of some more scenes that are superb.
M*A*S*H
M*A*S*H
Other ones from M*A*S*H that I can’t locate are: one in which Hawkeye is talking to the psychiatrist Sydney Freedman. He is talking about a childhood incident in which his brother saved him from drowning. He says, “My brother helped me into the water.” instead of saying his brother helped him out of the water. It turns out that his brother pushed him out of a boat, almost drowning him. A traumatic experience in Korea brings out the truth.
Another M*A*S*H episode is when a news reporter is brought into the camp to do some interviews and film the crew in action. In one scene, Father Mulcahy is describing how it is sometimes so cold that a doctor will hold his hands over an open wound to warm himself.
In another M*A*S*H episode, the dialogue is spoken almost entirely by Hawkeye. He crashes a jeep while out of a mission, he is injured and manages to drag himself to a Korean house. He’s in a slight haze because of his injury, but he carries on a conversation with the family, who don’t speak English and himself for about a half an hour. I always thought that episode would have made a good play.
