Just because they are odorless does not necessarily mean they are harmless to the rest of the public.
Yes, obviously they are less harmful to the smoker, but there hasn’t really been adequate testing to ensure it’s not harmful to the rest of us.
In spite of all the restrictions of public spaces placed upon regular smokers, none of them have been irreparably harmed by that. They’re still blithely smoking away.
Until there is accurate and adequate proof that e-cigs are not harmful to non smokers, I don’t see any compelling reason for lifting any of the existing restrictions. Smokers are still thriving in spite of them. I see no useful purpose served by lifting any of them.
(And I don’t think the attitude toward smoking in general was that quick to turn around. I spent most of my life half choking to death and attempting to avoid cigarette smoke. To be able to enjoy eating dinner publicly without having tobacco smoke forced upon me is really quite recent and quite enjoyable. I see no reason to go backwards.
