Will you stand up and scream "KHAAAAAAN!" in remembrance for Harve Bennett?

“Great Question” (5points)

He resurrected Star Trek with the masterpiece “Wrath of Khan”, and was, without a doubt, one of the most important figures of Star Trek.
And now he is dead. Died this Wednesday. 84.

Never heard of him, I’m not a Star Trek fan at all. Nimoy yes, an icon of my childhood but this guy is lost in obscurity to me.

@ragingloli These guys don’t understand.

Nope, no way. Nowhere in the same galaxy as Gene Roddenberry. The movies are shite. Only the original series is the true canon. Died two days ago and this is the first word? Not important at all.

I like Star Trek. They’re fun movies – whether the originals or not. It’s a bit sad that his passing has passed so quietly. Thanks for the alert @ragingloli.

I understand perfectly, it’s shit.

Awwwwwwwww! I always thought ‘Wrath of Kahn” was the best of the ST movies. Ricardo “Fine Corinthian Leather” Montalban took “chewing the scenery” to a whole new level.

His vision and creativity will be missed. Casting Ricardo Montalban as Kahn, and then giving him the space to truly take the character to an entirely different level were marks of true genius. Kahn was the only character in the entire ST universe who understood how to assert “revenge is a dish best served cold” and have it come across as positively chilling.

However, for me “The Voyage Home” is the best of the ST movies, including the two recent ones.
