A friend told me what they paid at Walmart and it was more than what I pay at Costco, so I would say Costco. You don’t need to be a member to use the prescription eye care services at Costco, at least not in Connecticut you don’t. It may be different in other states.

The markup for goods in Costco is generally not more than 14%.

Do you have the prescription already? I buy glasses on line at Zenni Optical. I buy the cheapest frames and they fill them . A pair cost $6.75.
I’ve ordered glasses for all sorts of applications. +4.0 +4.0 with PD of 59mm for extreme close work. -0.5 -05 PD 62 mm for exercising my eyes during driving.
+0.75 +0.75 for reading glasses. Every pair was $6.75. Hard to beat.

Not sure how widespread they are, but I use to go to a place called Dr.s Valu-Vision. The glasses are manufactured on-site, so any corrections can be easily and quickly made. Granted it’s been several years since I was last there (can’t seem to find them where I live now), but I usually spent (as best I can recall) around $120 for the exam and glasses.

I myself go the Costco route.
