Does the "Beggin Strips" for dogs ad annoy anyone else? Or is it "Bacon Strips?"?

I must be insane. I can’t stay in the room when it’s on.

Agree, it’s annoying. But it may appeal to young kids, who have a lot of influence with their pet food-buying parents.

This is only slightly relevant.

For Christmas I got my sister a Fire TV.

I have a server that I pay 28 dollars a month for that is sitting in a country that doesn’t give a shit about copyright. So that server runs Plex Media Server and rutorrent. Most downloading is done with RSS using simple regular expressions. On their end it looks like this. 12 people use this server. The other night it was doing 8 concurrent streams without a hiccup.

So everything I download has the commercials edited out. My sister has twin 13 year old girls. All the TV and movies they consume are now through plex on the fire tv. I was babysitting a few weeks ago and they were talking about how they were at a friends house watching tv and there were commercials and how utterly vile they were.

It is interesting how people don’t realize how bad advertising is until you remove it and they have to go back to it. It is like the internet when you use a ad blocker and then you have to use a computer without one. The internet is a very different and horrible place without a ad blocker. Almost unusable.
