It is a fine movie. It does however have some problems.
The biggest of them being the villain.
They are basically repeating the same thing from the last avengers movie: Ultron is using/hiding behind an army of cannon fodder robots.
The result is that the final battle is close to being a confusing mess, and that the villain by himself is not a real threat.
On the plus side, you get a lot of comedic banter, physical comedy, some good character moments and some clever setups and payoffs
spoilers: At the beginning of the movie, the team takes turns in trying to lift Thor’s hammer, ending with Thor saying that they are “not worthy”.
near the end of the film, after the birth of Vision, they argue whether or not Vision can be trusted, and then Vision casually hands Thor his hammer. Just one quick scene, and the audience instantly knows that he is a good guy.
But most importantly, the superheroes are superheroes in the movie: almost the entire final battle is the heroes evacuating a city and saving people.
Unlike “Man of Steel”, where superman razes Metropolis without regard to its inhabitants.
A fine movie, but flawed.
