The country group Alabama. (Their ballad about “My home’s in Alabama” brings tears to my eyes every time I listen to it.)

Dolly Parton.

Serious bar be que.

The historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. Heck, Nashville itself.

The blues.

Budweiser beer, originally from St. Louis, MO (where my maternal grandmother and her two older brothers were born.)

Finally, NASCAR.

The part of the Everglades they haven’t destroyed yet.
Some good manners and upbringing in some of their men.
Space launches.

Does Texas count as The South? If so:
The Alamo.
Austin is supposedly a cool place in some ways.
Dallas does a good job of keeping a lot of people who seem not to care about art or culture, away from other places.

Some of the funniest fail clips on YouTube.

Apparently_Im_The_Grumpy_One's avatar

@Darth_Algar But why would you want the legend tainted? If the south could be known for something I’d rather perpetuate “Legendary Hospitality” than anything else.
