Well since there are in excess of 7 billion of us, I cant envision any reason that I would be more valuable dead than alive. Perhaps there’s a huge bounty on my head due to my fierce resistance to alien domination, though the odds are considerable that I would perish while running my old ass off.
There are a few people that might cry, but tears are worthless on the market. The jewelry on my body is probably worth more than the flesh, bone and organs are.

Lol average non fighter humans in d&d can’t be worth any xp, and I think you’d only get some if you killed several of them. Back when I was playing we were high level enough that things like goblins or zombies weren’t worth anything, and we only got xp if we killed hordes of them, and that usually depended on the method used.
