The first half of Terminator was interesting, because they started messing with the mythology in some amusing ways, but it eventually degraded into another explosions movie that didn’t make sense if you had a moment to think about it.
I think a lot of action movies are guilty of that. Keep the audience preoccupied with onscreen destruction, and they won’t stop and analyze how stupid and needlessly complicated the action is.
I have not watched either of those movies.
Not “minions”, because I am not at all interested in the topic of the movie, and not T5, because trusted reviewers confirmed that it is shit, and I will not waste money on it.
I might watch a pirate stream later, though.
@filmfann Yeah.. wait r u that cool guy who comment on my question about Kingsman and said the opening was cool?
I think the idea was pretty great but it didn’t say who teleported T-800 to save Sarah Connor.
I saw the Minions movie. It reminded me of many other kids’ movies- frenetic pace, popular songs in the soundtrack so it appeals to adults, too, and boring but somewhat entertaining.
If you really want a good kids’ movie, see Shaun the Sheep.
I intended to hate Genisys, but I found it surprisingly enjoyable. I think most people hate it because the script doesn’t insult the intelligence and the movie wisely doesn’t take itself seriously. In today’s anti-intellectual climate, a movie has to appeal to a demographic consisting of 70 IQ, Fox-watching, Twittering imbeciles with a desperate need for trite and shameless pandering to all of Amerika’s worst navel-gazing qualities.
