I’m more tolerant on Fluther. There are no ‘people’ on the internet, just ‘personas’, and it’s hard to get really made at someone that’s just trying to get your goat. On the internet I’ve been known to just shirt into low gear and dig in.
In real life I’m fond of saying “The easiest way to piss me off is to try. It’s my nature so if that’s your goal, why should I fight it?”
In real life an immediate response is often called for. On Fluther they never know you’ve seen a flame bait until you respond to it. On Fluther there should be a lot less coulda, shouda, woulda about your responses.
When @gailcalled stopped participating, I thought perhaps she had just started a new persona. Sad to hear that she’s so unwell as to enter hospice care.
