Well, I answered from the perspective that I’m not the only person partaking of the foods, so I can’t just toss out the whole shebang, much as I’d like to. If it was just me, I wouldn’t even bring it in the house to begin with. But my husband is a dessert nut and we have that crap around here all too often.
When the craving gets a little strong I say, “Well, WTH! I’ll go get a piece!” and I do. Just cutting it and putting it on the plate relieves some of that craving. Pouring water on it then makes it totally gross and wipes out the craving altogether. It’s just a trick I’ve learned, living with my husband (who made a pan of brownies yesterday, and has already gone through half of the pan all by himself.)
