Thank you, @jca, and the same to you.
It’s a chilly, blessedly (even if ill-timedly) rainy day in Northern California. I’ll have the tree and other special lights on all day today and tomorrow.
I’m planning a Christmas Eve dinner at home with my husband and my two grown sons, and then I’m heading out to my regular Thursday-night meeting. We don’t hang stockings any more.
I finished all my wrapping last night! Considering that all of yesterday afternoon and all the previous evening were spent trying to get medical attention for my son’s foot fracture, that was a miracle in itself.
Baking pumpkin pies this afternoon. No time for cookies—a casualty of dealing with the foot-injury situation. If I don’t pace myself a little, I’ll be the one heading for the ER. For several reasons, I’m pretty much running a solo act here.
Tomorrow: presents in the early afternoon, and then all hands called into service to prepare a pot roast for dinner. We’ve decided that we like this better than turkey for Christmas. My husband makes the world’s best gravy.
Merry holidays to all!
@ragingloli, I wish you a warm, snug blanket, some honey-lemon tea, and a bushel of crrusty old movies.
