The precision of micro devices means that I doubt this is a do it yourself job.

You can call customer service of the manufacturer, and see if they can retrieve what ever is on the card, but there is a strong likelihood you are out of luck. I hope when it was in the computer you were backing it up.

A chip as in what exactly?

@ARE_you_kidding_me it was just a little bit of plastic that fell off, I didn’t think it would effect it but obviously it did.

@lugerruger Can you post a picture? If the chip was part of the electrical contact you should not try to glue it on. Most glues are not conductive and will only make things worse.

Send me picture. We might be able to perform some magic for you.

Is it the write protection slider? (pictured here)

Maybe removing that would tell you camera “Ignore me”.

The existing pictures would be safe. Have you tried a card reader?

@jaytkay no, it’s not the protection slider. I will try a card reader.

It took me a while to see it but I see it now. Fortunately the contacts are still there.
I’d try another card reader.
The card’s slider is in the unlock position. Maybe you should move it to lock just in case.

Make sure there is no plastic keeping it from making good contact and also try a different reader. The lock position does not matter when reading, it’s just write protection.
