No and no. I am a Unitarian. Jesus Christ is portrayed as a leader and a teacher. Generally though, Unitarianism is non-creedal and you are free to pursue your own spiritual path. I am also Jewish and an atheist and I haven’t found conflict in being both. Unitarianism arose in Europe out of the belief in the oneness of God – as opposed to the trinity – but as I said, there is no set doctrine that you have to follow. Our services draw on teachings and writings from cultures all over the world.
