No. I assume most people are smart enough to wait until the question says what they’d like to ask before hitting “submit”.

The edit window is there to correct simple typos, not to allow complete rewrites of questions.

If you have a regular problem of having questions answered while you’re editing, I’d suggest perhaps practicing your question on paper before entering it on the website.

I understand it’s frustrating to have answers that don’t match your questions, but it’s even more frustrating to spend your time answering a question only to find the question has been changed – sometimes dramatically – by the time you’re done typing.

Only the asker has the power to remedy this situation.

If I glance at the time the question was posted, it’s more to see how much interest there seems to be in the question, based on the time and the number of posted answers so far.
