“Great Question” (1points)

who is the dalai lama i have to write an article in 30 min & i know nothing about him so i have few questions
1) the Western view of the Dalai Lama and how it contributed to his reputation.
2) the Chinese government’s view of the Dalai Lama and how it contributed to his reputation.
3) the interplay of religious, personal and political qualities/factors in the construction of the Dalai Lama’s reputation
4)Reflect on how “flattening complexities” account for the emergence of competing reputation

[Mod Says] From the Fluther Help tab:

Homework Questions
Feel free to ask for help on your subject, but simply posting your homework question verbatim and expecting an answer is rude! We’re not here to do your homework for you.

It is not against the rules to ask homework questions. In general, the community expects that homework questions will demonstrate that the asker has already done some independent work on the problem, and responses may be removed if they just give away the answer instead of prompting the asker to work it out. Requesting and providing help, however, are both allowed—and harassing users for asking for help is not. So while @danahassan_ has clarified that this is not a homework question, it doesn’t matter in any case.

There are a great many resources on the internet concerning the Dalai Lama. Punching “Dalai Lama” into Google Search will give you 27,100,000 results in 0.71 seconds. I would start with the Dalai Lama Encyclopedia Britannica article on him, but Wikipedia will do in a pinch and reference citations can be easily hyperlinked and read by non-EB subscribers within a word doc. Reading the articles in the footnotes is always helpful for details and explanations.

A 1,000 word essay, using the most basic essay structure, consisting of five paragraphs, can easily be knocked out in 30 minutes, beginning with a short, introductory paragraph, 3 paragraphs addressing the first 3 points in your details above and a closing paragraph addressing point #4.

You no longer have to visit a library to accomplish this. You no longer have to order books and wait weeks for your reference material because your local library hasn’t the budget for books on every subject in the world. Today, you can accomplish this simply by pushing the keys on your keyboard in your own home and in milliseconds the world’s libraries are at your service. It is so much easier than it used to be.

And a bit of advice: Next time, don’t wait until 30 minutes to deadline especially when dealing with a subject that you know nothing about.
