Smoked, it’s the best way to prepare meat.

I’ve never had dog, but, I imagine the meat would be tough and gamey, since they are primarily meat-eating animals. So I’d brine it overnight first, at least. Then wrap it in bacon and slow-roast it for tenderness.

This is a completely speculative answer, as I’m not familiar with the qualities of dog meat.

We were in China once, at a street market, and we saw a bunch of puppies in a cage. At first we thought, “Awww puppies for sale.” Then we saw the pot of boiling water right next to the cage.

So, boiled?

Slow cooked/braised in a crock pot.

“Stewed barbequed, or steamed with shrimp paste,” according to this article.

Uugh…. I guess medium well…

I always specified medium well but was told recently that medium rare was better. Marinated, slow cooked? If more than just a sprinkle of salt, mustard!

Does the breed make a difference?

Would a German Shepherd or something large and muscular, because of size, be cooked differently than a Chihuahua or a Jack Russell?

Dog jerky, heavy on the Teriyaki sauce. I might be able to choke that down blindfolded with a clothespin on my nose and about a half a bottle of Vodka under my belt. haha
No way would I want some juicy hunk of dog oozing dog juices all over my plate. Okay, excuse me while to go throw up now. I like my beef well done too, no blood, not a trace, not pink on the inside, well-done, thanks.

Okay..yeah, I’m with @gorillapaws Cremated dog lightly sprinkled in some soup maybe. haha

Burnt to a crisp human flesh strikes me as something far superior to dog meat!
