I am not a doctor and only answering on how I know how esters/alcohols behave when heated as they will become more volatile the warmer they get. And if you are layered in warm clothes while drinking, then your body temp may/should/will rise which will facilitate your arteries and veins to relax and let this warmer cocktail of blood and alcohol course through your veins and ultimately rush to your brain much more readily where the dopamine response of the brain that reinforces the “good” feeling alcohol provides to your brain hence this increase “buzzy” feeling. Be aware this ‘warm fuzzy’ invites future recurrences of this experience. In the morning you can ask why your skull hurts so bad.
