I spent the first 48 years of my life adoring All Things Chocolate. There wasn’t enough chocolate in this world to keep me happy. I’d never met chocolate-anything that didn’t make me fall in love and want to get married.
I made a bet with myself – if only the Red Sox could win the World Series, I’d give up all chocolate forever. In 2004, they did, and so did I. I went cold turkey and didn’t look back. No more chocolate candy, cookies, cake, pie, beverages, etc.
After all these years, I no longer like the stuff. The few times I’ve accidently tasted chocolate, I’ve been disgusted. Yuck…spit it out!
It’s beyond me how Chocolate Fixation, after long abstinence, could evolve in Chocolate Revulsion. It happened, though.
