I would argue that they are loaded up with normal people. In fact, many make their communities a better place. There are 53 players on an active NFL roster. You sometimes hear about a handful in the league, in a negative light.
As far as the NBA. Most don’t really have a good education. They are pushed through high school, and some barely attend college.
Many from both sports are on a athletic scholarship. Many came from impoverished beginnings.
Most golf players had a much easier upbringing. Many have affluent families, and don’t have their troubles made as public. The ones I’ve met, are mostly entitled, rich boy losers. I’ve met a decent amount over the years, living in Charleston.
Lots of MLB players are foreigners. They probably have checkered pasts too. But we aren’t exposed to them here in the US. Don’t forget rampant steroid abuse. That doesn’t speak very highly of their character.
