The genitals are redacted out. Is it a law or something else? Don’t show a link.

It seems Japan redacts genitalia, but not breasts. South Korea is more lenient.
Anything you see with genitalia and claims to be Chinese comes from Taiwan. Porn in mainland China is a huge no no. Post something even mildly pornographic in China or North Korea, and you go to prison, at best.

This young woman is being shot by a North Korean firing squad for doing a sex tape

I heard it was public hair that is considered taboo in certain Asian cultures…

@MrGrimm888 That actually seems kinda right.

I was watching a show from South Korea called Society Game (good show BTW) and they actually blurred out male armpit hair.

Just a custom of not showing pubic hair, is all I’m aware of.

What @Espiritus_Corvus said. And porn is illegal in my place too, or at least it traditionally is. Things have seemed to be loosening up now with some books from Japan being rated +18 they get off the hook because there are only words, but they are still limited. In some cases people can draw clothes on the “suggestive” art too.

^So. Can they show pubic hair there?

Mimishu1995's avatar

No @MrGrimm888. Breasts can’t pass, let alone publish hair :(

I do love the auro-correct misspellings of “pubic,” on this thread…

Mimishu1995's avatar

@MrGrimm888 no, it’s me misspelling that word :p

^Ah. Well, I screwed up because of my “smart” phone…
