What are the odds of a discarded race track ticket being found as a winner by a random person checking discarded tickets?

Has anyone found a winning one? While checking the trashed race tickets on the ground? Have you ever looked at discarded horse or dog racing stubs? I did twice but never got a winner.

You are not the first person to think of this.
Here is a NY Times article about a guy who does it for a living. He pays two helpers $25 per bag to collect discarded tickets. He collects about 2000 – 7000 tickets.
He makes about $200 per day after 10 hours of work feeding tickets into the machine.

@LuckyGuy Is that $200 after he pays his helpers 25 per bag?

The article just said he makes $200 per day after collecting tickets from 4 or 5 OTB parlors . I’m guessing that is after expenses but I don’t know.

People snatch discarded scratch off tickets and enter them in the second chance lottery here.
