“Great Question” (3points)

I thought that Life of Pi was silly but my wife enjoyed it. But then I thought Men Who Stare at Goats was hilarious and my wife thinks it sucked. Lol, go figure.

I liked Life of Pi at first, figured it was a well crafted and unusual adventure tale of ship wreck and survival at sea. But then that silly meerkat island scene came along, and I was, Okayyy… Wtf?

Complete waste of time. No plot. In fact, an insulting lack of a plot.

Perfectly awful.

In NSFW I couldn’t possibly tell you.
Else, “2-Headed Shark Attack” surely is one of the most ridiculous ones.
Another one, but much better, is “Black Sheep”.

Christmas with the Kranks. Not only does it have shrill comedy, lame slapstick, forced sentimentality, and awful production design, the conformist message of the film is quite unsavory.

Many Chinese movies..They are hilarious but don’t make any sense.

Cannibal! The Musical (originally known as Alferd Packer: The Musical) is a 1993 American independent black comedy horror musical film directed, written, produced, co-scored by and starring Trey Parker while studying at the University of Colorado at Boulder, before reaching fame with South Park alongside his friend Matt Stone who also stars in and produced the film. It is loosely based on the true story of Alferd Packer and the sordid details of the trip from Utah to Colorado that left his five fellow travelers dead and partially eaten.”

I love Life of Pi! It has hidden meanings in It.

Mine are probably Her (the one where the guy falls in love with his phone) and something called a Winters Tale?? Will Smith was the devil in it. That movie was bazaar.

There are others but I can’t think of them. There have been plenty of times where I’ve walked out of the movie theater thinking wtf???

This masterpiece. Can someone go through nearly 3 hours and tell me what’s going on there? My brain just shut down after 4 minutes of horrible camera, bad Engrish and plot that doesn’t even try to make sense. I’ve seen tons of horrible movies with confusing plot but I managed to understand all of them except this one.

Most movies have a bit of ridiculous in them take sci/fi for example the loud explosions of space ships blowing up in battle, like huh? In the vacuum of space your not going to hear anything like that.

There are different ways for films to be ridiculous, so the contest isn’t clear to me. However Birdemic: Shock and Terror comes immediately to mind.

Mega Shark versus Giant Octopus is up there as well.

Funny you should ask.
I just finished watching The Emoji Movie.

I love ridiculous movies. I’d say Strange Brew, Weekend at Bernie’s and Rubber.

Wow. Several of my favorite movies have been listed so far.
Solaris, Men Who Stare At Goats, The Rocketeer, Titanic, Life Of Pi, Cannibal the Musical… They are all fantastic.
My idea of a ridiculous, unwatchable movie would probably include Hamlet 2. That film is a shit stain on silk sheets.

ARE_you_kidding_me's avatar

So many from the 80s but the most unwatchable POS was the star wars christmas special.

Battlefield earth as well.

Oh, and Highlander II.

MrGrimm888's avatar

^Ah yes. Battlefield Earth was ridiculous.

The movie Enough, is my pick. Absolutely ridiculous. Most Lifetime movies, are about the same…

The Tarzan movie with Bo Derek was pretty ridiculous. It was basically soft porn for men.

Monty Python and The Holy Grail is the very best kind of ridiculous. This is one of my favourite scenes Coconuts

It was called Dark Web…. Lots of plot holes and terrible acting.

SimpatichnayaZhopa's avatar

I think “The Dark Knight” was vastly overrated and ridiculous. Critics are dumb when they praise such terrible movies. I never agree with critics or Oscars.

rockfan's avatar

“Critics are dumb when they praise such terrible movies.”

Or perhaps they just have a different opinion? For example, Under The Skin is a critically acclaimed film, but I completely hated it. But I don’t think critics are dumb for liking it.

I think The Dark Knight is a great film by the way.

filmfann's avatar

I loved Under The Skin. It was top drawer sci fi.
