Did you know how the parties got their animal symbols?
Here’s the link for it. Interestingly it was the same cartoonist who was instrumental in giving these symbols. I’m wondering whether he himself was follower of GOP or otherwise?

Thomas Nast.
Sadly, he died when he was sent to Panama by Teddy Roosevelt.
^i know his name. I’m curious which party did he supported?
He supported Lincoln’s republicans, and opposed the corrupt Tweed democratic machine.
His political cartoons are amazing. He understood America and its promise.
If he were alive today, he would eviscerate Trump and his supporters, and support the dreamers, and the Democrats.
