I’ve seen this show. Most of the time it is very upsetting, and unnecessarily so for the unsuspecting people who happen to be on the show.
I understand that they are trying to warn us about certain bad situations, but Inalways feel like the unsuspecting “subjects” are being unnecessarily traumatized.
I am a very sensitive person, and I would be very upset if I was the person being “set up” on this show, even though I realize that they are ultimately trying to educate people.
I’ve got enough upsetting situations in my real life, and some people who they set up might have anxiety issues that are unknown to the producers of the show.
I understand, and appreciate the purpose of the show, but I also see it as somewhat unethical.
Just because they have to get a consent form (at the end of the show) to show the footage, doesn’t mean that some, or even most of the unwitting participants weren’t traumatized, especially the ones who wouldn’t sign a consent form.
