Honestly, the very name sounds suspicious.
I would just delete the program folder manually, and then run CCleaner to remove the registry entries.

You may have alreasdy tried all of this; but this what I found uninstall Nitro

I had a problem uninstalling WinZip from my PC this morning. The uninstall a programme feature didn’t work and I ended up simply deleting the WinZip folder from my hard drive.Everything seems fine but I may try running CCleaner whatever that is.

@2davidc8 The down & dirty answer is CCleaner works a lot lot Windows Disk Cleanup app . It scans your computer to see which apps are no longer there & which temp files belongs to apps that are no longer on your computer. I’ve been using it for a couple of years now & I have it set to cleanup any temp files & history from my browser every time I close the browser. Anyway, when you uninstall an app, it picks up on the fact that there are files present with NO app association & delete the unnecessary files. I hesitated for years to install this one even when all my friends were bragging about it. I finally broke down & tried it & now I’m a believer. It also deletes unnecessary & old log files which are taking up room on your computer. I find it more efficient than Windows Disk Cleanup because it takes the hardest part of the equation out of service…ME. When I’m using the Windows Disk Cleanup, I hesitate to tell it to delete certain types of files for fear that I might need them soon. With CCleaner, I’ve learned to just TRUST it because it knows what to delete!!!

I just ran CCleaner (the free version) and I notice that under “tools” there is an option to uninstall unwanted software. Worth a try.

GA, @LadyMarissa, thanks. Is download.cnet.com a safe place to get CCleaner from? If not, where do you get it?
Another troublesome program that won’t uninstall is Babylon. It’s supposed to be language translator program but it acts like malware. It gets into all sorts of dropdown menus and often pops up offering to translate something for me. So I’m sure it’s always lurking around, taking up processing power from my PC.

@2davidc8 I use Cnet a lot but have many people telling me to stay away due to lots of malware recently. I suggest you go to ccleaner.com & get it direct from them. If I remember right, you have a choice of the free version or paying for the pro version. Since all my geek friends love it, I opted for the Pro version. It’s been my experience with apps that you get what you pay for!!!
