It’s misleading language to a degree. Like some ballot language. Havent heard an argument though.

“Pro” is for, “anti” is against.

There is no comparison between pro ban and pro abortion. If the issue were about pro or anti abortion BANS there would be no issue. But opposing the ban is NOT the same as pro pit bull.

@stanleybmanly Way to not explain why there is no comparison. And the OP doesn’t say one corresponds to pro-or anti-abortion.

@Flo If it were me, I’d just say ‘some are for and against the pit bull ban’..

A city close to me just went through the horror of a ban, its terrible. If you are going thru it, please consider a vicious dog ban that is not breed specific.

She’s trying to compare it to a totally unrelated conversation. The question has nothing to do with pit bulls and everything to do with abortion!

@KNOWITALL pro and for the same thing to me.
What if it’s just a family discusssing it? “Should we get a pit bull or not?” Some members of the family are pro and some are against.

@flo I’m really into language usage. Personally, as originally stated, it seems to me to be a little confusing to ‘common man’.

None of those sound confusing. Ban is the key word in the OP.

@KNOWITALL By “common man” I guess you mean less informed, less smart, (less able to see that pro and for mean the same thing) or something similar? If so why are you claiming to be one of them?
