It is my understanding that Seaweed is pretty healthy for you. It’s a common ingredient in many Japanese dishes, often in soups (e.g. Miso soup). That might be a good place to start.
It can be eaten right out of the package with rice. The warmth of the rice will make it a bit more pliable. It can be slightly heated over an open flame to be made pliable and then used as a wrapper for a rice ball or sushi. It can be put in soup.
Perhaps some caution should be taken, depending on how and where you get your seaweed, and what kind it is.
A few years ago, MRSA was found in a sample of seaweed off the coast of Oregon.
