I’m assuming this is a bath and shower combo. The door looks better, especially if it’s clear glass and frameless. It also makes the bathroom look bigger, because you see through to the walk, instead of the curtain. Unless, it’s a shower not used often and you can leave the curtain open, but any shower used daily you have to leave the curtain stretched out across the tub to dry well.
The advantage of the curtain is when it starts to get hard to clean, you can simply buy a new $9 liner. If there is soap build up on the liner it won’t even effect the beauty of your bathroom, while on the glass door you need to keep up with it, because all the spots will show. You live in a soft water state, so at least you don’t have a lot of lime and calcium in your water. Plus, you can get the semi-circle shower curtain holder, and it creates more elbow room in the shower than the glass.
If you like to rest your elbow out on the tub when sitting in the tub, you might not be able to if you have a shower door, it will depend if it’s a sliding door or swing door, just some things to think about.
I’d go with the glass personally, but I don’t mind the curtain. I have a curtain that I love the pattern, I’ve had it for years, but it’s in my secondary bathroom. I’ve never had a curtain in my master bathroom.
