Yes, many of us here have had stomach thing for about a week now. No hunger, nothing tastes good or right, nothing feels like it’s ‘settled’. I literally didn’t eat turkey, pie or anything this year and it was fine. I still am not right and even the pretzels aren’t helping much.

Yep. Several of the grandkids have had it. I’m starting to feel a little punk. I guess it’s the flu.

For 2 of the grandkids the doc prescribed antibiotic without running any culture bad doctor….If it IS a bacteria I may well be coming down with it. If it’s a virus I’m most likely immune to it.

At least there’s no nausea or vomiting. I just ate for the first time today and my stomach isn’t happy. I thought Greek yogurt would be helpful but nothing is making this belly happy.

I am just getting over a bad cold and over 12 days its finished.

Had no hunger for food when feeling tired,groggy, runny nose, watery eyes,and later days a cough and lost 2 pounds weight every two days, apparently from dehydration of which fat consists of 95 % water.
So it was the water that I was losing, but feel good today and much lighter..had a good meal.
feeling better today although was weak, when I walked downtown for groceries.
Since I rarely get sick, but when I do It is hard on my body I worried that it may be Meningitis, because of the rapid weight loss? But happy now its over.

Is it difficult to bend you head down? Your chin to your chest? Is it too stiff or painful? If so it’s an emergency.

I’d say any rash with other under the weather feelings warrants a doctor’s visit.

Where is the rash? Are you taking medicine if any sort before the rash started?

The rash started on my neck last night and now covers my torso as well. It’s a fine rash, is that what you call it when it’s not bumpy or blistering? I often get this way when I have strep throat but I’m pretty sure that’s not what I have. I’m just weak, have no appetite, this itchy rash and fever. I’m not taking any meds. I have lost 5 lbs in 5 days.

I think scarlet fever is a bumpy rash (that’s the strep rash) but I’m no expert. I know very little about rashes, I was just trying to rule out meningitis and TENS from a medication. Luckily, it doesn’t sound like it’s any of those scary things. I still think go to a doctor, and I rarely like to go to the doctor. Lol.

I really am not sure what it is. Any chance the rash is an allergy to your clothing or soap?

Doubtful. I haven’t changed soaps.

Yeah, it’s most likely related to whatever illness you have.

There are a lot of childhood diseases that cause rash and similar symptoms, but adults almost never get them. I don’t know what those rashes look like. Things like Roseola, I don’t know what else. I think that rash is on the face anyway?

Hopefully, another jelly knows what it is.

Can you go to the doctor in a day or two? Get it checked?

I’ll probably go tomorrow if the rash isn’t gone. Since I work in food service we are asked to not come in if we have a visible rash, fever or diarrhea. Luckily I didn’t have to work yesterday or today but I’m scheduled for tomorrow night.

Also myself and a few friends have a tiny headache top of head area, on and off.

@Jonsblond I can’t tell you how happy it makes me your work has that policy.

Just today I found out a place I ate at for lunch was closed an hour after I left by the health department. LOL. I assume the information is correct.

I try not to think about all the illness I can come down with at a restaurant or from food.

I hope you feel better tomorrow and it just resolves itself on it’s own. Let us know what happens.

@JLeslie I’m constantly switching gloves during my shift. We’re required to wear them when helping guests. The only time we don’t need to wear them is during cleanup at the end of our shift. That’s when I grab all the spoons at our hot bar/salad bar. Those spoons are probably covered in germs from the customers. Here I’ve been conscious of not spreading anything to our guests and it’s probably one of them who got me sick! I think I’ll wear gloves during cleanup as well.

Do you hold your blankets up to your neck when sleeping? If so..could be a rash to the soap or even fabric softeners that people place in the dryers.

@Jonsblond Do they make employees wash their hands right before putting on gloves? Since we touch our gloves to put them on the gloves often have the same germs.as our hands.

You very well could have caught your illness at work. Wasn’t your son recently sick? If you took him to the doctor you could have caught it at the doctor’s office.

Is the rash like little pin dots? Or, is it more like a blotchy red?

@Insprired There haven’t been any changes with our soaps or detergents. My neighbor hasn’t used the wash in two weeks. Her clothes are still sitting on top of the dryer.

@JLeslie It’s very similar to a scarlet fever rash.

Good point about the gloves. We do wash our hands frequently, at least I do. The only notice for employees is in the bathroom.

I gave notice to my manager that I won’t be coming in. I’ll head over to urgent care after I drop my husband off at work.

It’s a viral infection. Doc said the rash is similar to rubella. He prescribed steroids for me. I’ll be contagious for another 24–48 hours. I really can’t afford to miss another day of work. This is our Christmas money. :(

@KNOWITALL unfortunately no. I’m in food service and I’m only part time. I don’t have sick days.

The rash looks similar to the German measles? Gawd, that could scare a lot of people. Lol.
