I can remember plenty but not a book full that would interest anyone else.
I was at a memorial service last year when one speaker couldn’t make it. A former co-worker was recruited at the last minute. He gave a long talk filled with mundane work anecdotes like, “Back in 1972 we moved offices and Greg was in charge of picking new furniture. The sales reps gave him books of fabric samples. There were three shades of blue that everyone like, and blah, blah, blah, blah…” The poor guy. Everyone felt for him.
Thank goodness one of the dead man’s sons followed with a perfect tribute to his dad, with short stories about his impact at home, at work, and on the community with his volunteer work.”
