Got teary-eyed watching that prison scene in Spartacus with him and Jean Simmons. But it may have been mainly due to North’s magnificently bittersweet and heart-wrenching score.
Afraid I can only remember seeing two of his films both were beyond remarkable. No doubt masterpieces. The other was also with Kubrick, Paths of Glory.
