If the tax wasn’t charged on car lease payments because of COVID19 the last two months, is that money still owed just delayed? Or, is it completely waved?

I live in Florida, so I guess that’s Florida sales tax?

It varies. You would have to call the company and ask them.

I can’t imagine Florida waiving a tax permanently.

I think some of the leasing companies are NOT charging therefore Florida wouldn’t have anything to charge sales tax.

Sales tax is a pass through tax. Companies charge it to the customer because the company has to pay the state. I don’t want to ask the company until I know what the state is demanding. I could get some idiot on the phone at the company or at the dealer when I turn the car in saying I have to pay it when I don’t. Right now the sales tax I wasn’t charged is showing as a balance on my account.
