“Great Question” (1points)

I make $803 per month and have poor credit. My FICO score from Experian was 589 last I checked. I now have a late payment on my credit card and I used and exceeded the credit limit of $200. How this is possible I don’t know. I also have a late payment on the Laptop I bought on credit from Aaron’s because it was stolen. I need a car and I know there are places that help people with government income. I don’t care about location or interest rate I just need options.

Quick calculation you can afford a $2900 car to be paid for over 5 years ! Gas and maintenance will kill you.

Use public transportation buses and trains.

Get a family member with great credit to cosign.

Because you have such bad credit, even if you find a place that will give you a loan, the interest rate will be very high and that will continue to get you in financial trouble. I would take public transportation for now. I would not use a family member for their credit and drag them down too if you miss a payment.

Send the laptop back to Aaron’s, those rent-to-own places are a rip off and you end up paying several times the retail value of the item. Take a couple of those payments you would have given to Aaron’s and buy a new laptop outright. Then after that, the money you would have been giving to Aaron’s can go towards the car payment.
