Without some method of preservation, they would get absolutely nothing from any 2000 year old blood residue. And no, amber does not work either.

But it would be pretty funny, if the clone turned out to be the antichrist, because the Jesus DNA is naturally evil, and must be overridden by installing the “holy ghost” operating system after birth.

Jesus spent a lifetime gaining wisdom as he was certainly NOT immediately born with it.
So cloning would only be of a physical person not the Spiritual Jesus as assumed.

Clone Jesus from what?? He was merely a man, like any other…

We would learn what he REALLY looks like.

Since no human has been cloned, we don’t know how much of Jesus’ personality traits will carry over. There is also the factor of nurture. Who gets to carry the embryo and rear him? What is that environment like? Would he be told who he is? What if he was brought up in another country?

I don’t think the Catholics would clone Jesus, it’s Jewish people that have been waiting for the Messiah.

And the Evangelicals would say, “oh fuck, now everyone will know we’ve been lying to them.”

But Jews don’t believe that the Messiah is or will be any kind of supernatural being. Just an ordinary man conceived, birthed and without special powers, like the rest of us. If I’m not mistaken, they also view the Messiah as more of a temporal leader who will liberate the Jewish people. They do not view him as some redeemer of mankind who purifies sin by standing in as a blood sacrifice.

Though as I understand it most Jews have abandoned the idea of a Messiah. Or believe that he was some historic figure who has already come and gone. I think it’s pretty much just the Lubavitchers who still hold on to Messianic belief.

I do not see why they would even consider cloning a false Messiah.
